If you are an active online educator (or transitioning to online teaching) seeking to expand your teaching expertise and refine specialised skills in crafting practical and impactful teaching materials, the Trinity CertPT is tailor-made for you. This Level 6 certificate evaluates the professional knowledge and insight required to assess, modify, generate, and contemplate the utilisation of teaching resources tailored to specific contexts, all contributing to your Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Rather than focusing on English language proficiency, the course is structured around pedagogical achievements and involves the completion of four teaching activities. These activities necessitate the utilisation of resource assessment, creation, and application to advance both your knowledge and practical skills.
Upon successfully completing this course, you will possess the capability to assess, modify, and generate teaching or training resources that cater to the needs of a designated learner or learner group. Additionally, you will be adept at justifying and reflecting on pedagogical decisions made to address learner needs, showcasing an awareness of formative assessment, and employing academic referencing to align with intended learning outcomes.

Entry Requirements
The Trinity College London Certificate for Practising Teachers (CertPT) with a specialism in Online Teaching has been created for online educators who are already in service.
Participants should have:
- An initial teacher education qualification, such as the Trinity CertTESOL or any of the Level 5 TEFL qualifications, plus a minimum of six months of teaching experience
Or:
- Substantive teaching experience (at least two years) that allows a candidate to complete the assessment tasks to the level required
This course is tailored to meet the unique needs and aspirations of the following groups:

16+ but to work in TEFL you generally need to be 18+.
