What are the course requirements?

By starting an i-to-i TEFL Course, you need to meet the following requirements:

• You have an awareness of the basic concepts of language teaching
• You have a native level of English speaking and the ability to read and understand English language materials
• You have an ability to take advice from both tutors and peers, and the capability to improve as a result

You must have a sufficient level of English language in order to enrol on an i-to-i TEFL Course. Non-native English speakers who want to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL) must have a minimum English language level equivalent to C1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

If, at any point during the course, a tutor feels that your English language ability is insufficient, your case will be forwarded to our Director of Studies. If both the tutor and Director of Studies believe your English language skills are insufficient to competently teach EFL, we reserve the right to fail you.
