Learn online. Teach online. Stay safe!
A message from our Managing Director, Gordon Mathie…
“Here at i-to-i, we’re committed to providing the best service for our valued customers. So, during this time of change and uncertainty, we’ve made sure that we can be on-hand and available for calls, emails, live web chats and everything else – exactly the same as before! However, we recommend calling us for a quick response, as it may take us a little longer than usual to respond to emails.
Although our teams may be working remotely, we’re all still here, ready to offer advice and guidance on TEFL courses, teaching English online, future travels and anything else you need us for.
Finally, we’d like to wish all of our customers – and all affected by COVID-19 – safety and solidarity through this difficult time.”
With global demand for online English teachers higher than it’s ever been, now’s the opportune time to get TEFL qualified and earn money from home teaching English online. If you’re a fluent English speaker, this is a simple, accessible way for you to earn money from home and pick up a valuable new skill. Plus, you can earn from £10 (US$12 / R200) to £30 ($US35 / R600) per hour – win!
If you want to find out more about teaching online, check out our blog: Coronavirus: Now’s the time to teach online! Or compare our range of TEFL Courses & Diplomas to get started.
As most of us have been advised to stay indoors for some time, getting TEFL qualified has become even easier. Our Online TEFL Courses allow you to study from home on any device, 24/7. Your certificate will be valid for life, so you can teach online now or teach abroad in the future – or both!
As the COVID-19 advice changes, we’re working to get our Classroom Courses up and running as soon as possible according to local advice. We’re able to start running some of our courses now and will be in touch with you if that’s possible in your area.
In the meantime, we thank you for your patience and if you’d like to consider a certificate for the online element of your course with a separate 20 hour Classroom Course certification then please get in touch with us at [email protected].
» If you were already booked on…
We’ll be contacting all enrolled students directly to keep you updated on the situation. We’ll place all of you onto our Flexi option until things change. This means that, when it’s safe for us to start running our Classroom Courses again, we’ll get in touch and book you on to a new date that suits you.
» If you were planning on booking on…
Good news! You can still enrol onto any of our Combined TEFL Courses – we recommend opting for the Flexi option (for no additional cost) which allows you to enrol without choosing a date or location. Then, when it’s safe for us to start running our Classroom Courses again, we’ll be in touch to book you on to a suitable date.
We are able to send out printed certificates now but due to remote working, they will take a little longer than normal. We are processing deliveries on a weekly basis so that delivery within 4 weeks is normally possible. E-certificates will still be provided straight away for all customers who pass their course, and these can be verified online by employers.
Rest assured, we’re doing everything we can to support our interns during this time. We’re keeping a very close eye on the global situation and referring to our own government’s advice (https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice), the World Health Organization (https://www.who.int/), and our overseas partners in making decisions.
If we can’t run your internship…
We’ll make a final decision on your internship at least one month before it’s due to start, and we’ll contact you individually to discuss options with you.
If we aren’t able to run the internship as planned then we’ll postpone your booking and transfer you to the next available start date – or a date of your choice if you prefer.
If you can’t or don’t want to travel on the internship at a different date then we’ll be happy to talk through additional online training that you can take instead.
What if I want to decide now?
While the situation continues and if you’ve decided that you don’t want to travel at this time, you can switch over to a future date free of charge. If you wish to cancel your trip with us completely, we’ll need to apply standard cancellation terms.
If you haven’t already done so, we strongly recommend you take out travel insurance which covers you for travel disruption. You’d then be able to claim on this if your trip is affected. Here’s a useful link to explain more: https://www.moneysupermarket.com/travel-insurance/coronavirus/
Please rest assured, we’re monitoring the situation daily and will contact you as soon as a decision has been made on each internship. If you do not hear from us and are concerned, please feel free to give us a call.
